COVID 19: 10m Nigerians Received Vaccine in 2021

At the time of the report, the country’s proportion of totally vaccinated stands at only 4%
10,310,476 Nigerians have received at least one dose of the COVID 19 vaccine in Nigeria in 2021.
The National Primary Healthcare Development Agency disclosed this on Friday in a statement that was released online.
The report also revealed that 4,482,899 Nigerians also received the second dose of the vaccine before the year ran out.
The agency has also approved a third booster shot for people who have received two jabs to increase protection against the virus.
The report covers vaccination from when the first delivery of vaccine arrived in Nigeria in March 2021, to December 30th, 2021.
The fully vaccinated proportion however represents only 4% of the eligible population.

Among states who have begun administering the booster shots, Kano State leads with 16,006, while Lagos and FCT follow with 11,985 and 496 respectively.
Lagos however leads other states in terms of administering two doses of the vaccine with 772,643 persons fully vaccinated.
