A cryptocurrency trader claims that he has most about £900,000 worth of Bitcoin after accidentally deleting the image containing his password.
The anonymous person posted his story on Reddit as he pleaded with tech-savvy individuals for tips to help him recover the photo.
In the post, the user revealed that his friend Once gifted him 25 BTC and recommended “seed words” to protect the coins.
To secure the coins, he sent the password to his friend on WhatsApp as a backup to prevent him from losing it completely.
However, his friend told him that it was his responsibility and he deleted the photo from the app believing that it was stored else were.

It wasn’t until he bought a new phone and tried to back up his photos and videos from his old device that he discovered that the photo was missing.
He wrote:
“To my horror, I think what I must have done when I deleted the picture from his phone I must have checked the options also ‘delete the media in this chat’ and hence it removed it from my phone as well,”
The user has claimed that he is now seeking the help of tech giants and the public to retrieve the photo.
