187,426 Doses of COVID 19 Vaccine Delivered to Ogun State

187,426 doses of Moderna COVID 19 vaccine have been delivered to Ogun, to aid the state’s battle against the pandemic.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker disclosed this in a statement that was released on Friday morning.

Dr Tomi Coker revealed that the vaccines were received at the state capital Abeokuta on Thursday night.

The state is now set to begin phase two of the vaccination exercise, according to the State Commissioner for Health.

Coker revealed that the exercise will target those or are above the age of 18 and people can register for vaccination at www.vaccination.gov.ng.

She also revealed that the state had earlier been provided with ultracold chain refrigerators which are required for the storage of the vaccine.

The health commissioner also urged members of the state to take precautions such as washing hands and social distancing.

She ended by informing residents of the state that the government will continue to prioritise their safety.
