Bezos currently has a wealth valuation of $191 billion with the majority of his gains coming from the steady rise of Amazon stocks.
Musk on the other hand is down to $190 billion after losing $4.58 billion when Tesla shares lost 2.4% in value.
It was reported that Bezos had steadily been closing in on Musk in the past week before Tesla shares plunged.
Although Bezos has a net worth of $190 billion, only $9.7 billion of his worth is cash at bank while the rest is tied to his stocks in Amazon.
