2021 has proven to be a good year for Nigerian music stars all round, and it has been crowned with several nominations at the Grammys.
Afrobeat legend Femi Kuta has been selected among the nominees for the 2022 edition of the Grammy Awards.
The veteran star was nominated along with his son, Made Kuti, Wizkid, and Burna Boy in the 64th Grammy Awards.
Made and Femi got the nominations for their joint album Legacy+, which features top tracks like ‘Stop The Hate’ and ‘Na Bigmanism Spoil Government’.
Wizkid bagged his nomination in the Best Global Music Performance for his song ‘Essence’ which featured fellow Nigerian Tems.

Burna boy was also in the same category for the song ‘Do Yourself’ where he was featured by Angelique Kidjo.
Wizkid’s Made In Lagos (Deluxe)’ and Legacy+ by Femi and Made Kuti also got nominations in the Best Global Music Album category.
