Nigerian Afropop star Davido has raised N114 million by calling on friends and colleagues to send him money.
The superstar made a post on his Instagram page that reads:
“If you know I’ve given you a hit song… send me money… una know una selves o,”
After the post, he took to his Instagram story to call out several names requesting 1 million naira each from them.
“We rise by lifting others abi? Me I don dey rise dey lifting others for the past 100 years. So I want to know who my friends are. All of my friends one one million Naira. They said we are 30BG. If you don’t send your own. You out of here”
Within the first 10 minutes of announcing the challenge, the singer had received N7 million and the donations reached N40 million in an hour.

As he continued to post screenshots of the amount received, the last screenshot showed that over 114 million Naira was in the account.
So far, some of the notable names to have sent money to Davido include Obi Cubana, Chief Priest Cubana, E-Money, Honourable Akin Alabi, and Otedola.
