Popular comedian Bovi, during his recent ‘Bovi Man On Fire Show’, joked about Banky W’s proposal to his beautiful bride-to-be, Adesua Etomi. He said the singer was friend zoned by Etomi for more than a year because he slid into her DM as a comedian, not a singer. Why I said Banky W’s marriage already has problems – Bovi.
Bovi said Adesua was thinking it was him (Bovi) not Banky toasting her, not until the singer’s mum told him to sing to Adesua which he did, then she fell in love. He also joked about how Banky spelled “Marry” as “Maary”, saying “the marriage already has problems from the wrong spelling.”
According to him, marriage is serious work and Banky spelling ”Maary” instead of “marry” during his proposal” is something they need to fix. He also noted that it’s either Banky is dyslexic, an inability to read, write or spell well or the spelling mistake was caused by over excitement.

The video of Bovi’s show went viral and some Nigerians did not digest it well. An Instagram user blasted him over his jokes. The Instagram User @cutie_bee30 called Bovi a ‘Bastard. Well, this lady took the jokes personal, yet neither Banky W nor his wife said a word about the joke.
Earlier Banky W’s family had gone to meet with Adesua Etomi’s family on Saturday, May 6 in Lagos to ask for her hand in marriage. The singer’s family who are all based abroad all came to the country to witness the long awaited day.
