Twitter appears set to carry out its promise of introducing an edit button that will allow users to correct mistakes in tweets

Popular developer and reverse engineer, Alessandro Paluzzi spotted and shared a screenshot of what the feature will look like on his social media page

Paluzzi has suggested that the feature may only be available to subscribers of Twitter Blue, a paid version of the app
Social media giant, Twitter has a lot on its plate right now as the company tries to manage an attempted takeover from billionaire businessman, Elon Musk. However, the company is not giving up on its plan to introduce an edit button for tweets.
Popular mobile developer and reverse engineer, Alessandro Paluzzi announced on Saturday that he had spotted the button on the platform.

What to expect from the Twitter edit button
Paluzzi shared a screenshot on the app that shows that users will be able to access the edit button by clicking on the three-dot menu once the tweet is published. He further disclosed that once the button is clicked, the tweet will open up in a space that allows you to make the necessary changes. Once that is done, you will be able to publish the updated tweet to the platform.
However, it’s worth noting that since the feature is only still in development, Twitter may change how it looks.
Meanwhile, another reverse engineer Manchun Wong has suggested that once activated, the Twitter edit button feature will preserve the previous versions of a tweet.
Looks like Twitter’s approach to Edit Tweet is immutable, as in, instead of mutating the Tweet text within the same Tweet (same ID), it re-creates a new Tweet with the amended content, along with the list of the old Tweets prior of that edit

This means that your original tweet will be accessible to users who wish to see the content.
