Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo earned a whopping £850,000 in addition to his weekly wages on Saturday, after helping his team to a 3-2 victory against Norwich City FC.
The football legend scored a hat-trick in the match, the 60th in his career and 50th in club football. The 3 goals also took his tally for the season to 21, as he became the oldest footballer to hit that mark in a single Premier League campaign.
Ronaldo was rewarded with a bonus of £750,000 for hitting 20 goals this season and he received another £100,000 for completing the hat-trick.

According to Marca, the Portugal national team captain will be receiving an extra £100,000 for every goal that he scores, from this point till the end of the season. The milestone also means that Ronaldo has managed to score 20 goals in each of his last 16 seasons.
Manchester United has 6 games to go till the end of the season, and the club will set its sights on a Champions League qualifying spot. However, there will be no chance for silverware this season after the team was knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League.
