The company is expected to increase the feature’s time to an indefinite period, allowing users to delete a message even after days

The “delete for everyone” feature currently has a time limit of 4096, after which it becomes impossible to delete the sent file or message
WhatsApp is reportedly working on lengthening the time limit for its “delete for everyone” feature.
The message delete feature which was initially introduced in 2017 initially had a time limit of seven minutes but it was later increased to 4096 seconds.
This feature lets users delete messages from personal and group chats in WhatsApp and the notification “This message was deleted” appears in its stead.
According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp features tracker, the time limit for “delete for everyone” may be extended to an indefinite period, based on details found in WhatsApp for Android beta v2.21.23.1.
This means that users will be able to delete a file or message for everyone, several days or weeks after sending it.
