Instagram to Pay Users $10,000 For Posting on Reels

  • Instagram is set to pay bonuses up to $10,000 to users who post videos on Reels
  • The company aims to use the bonus to attract more content creators to the video platform, amid competition from TikTok
  • The opportunity is currently available to US users but it will be extended to other regions as time goes

Instagram is trying to get more people to use Reels and they’ll even be willing to pay you to do so.

The social media company has announced a bonus program in July where over $1 billion will be offered to creators through creators.

As TikTok continues to grow, even surpassing 1 billion active users per month, Instagram has been looking for a way to stay relevant by attracting more users.

According to TechCrunch, users will have the opportunity to win up to $10,000 for posting “Reels” videos on the platform.

The company has however failed to define the rules for winning this bonus as some users with more followers and engagement earn less than their counterparts.

According to Instagram, the program is currently being tested among a small number of creators but it will be extended to others as time goes.
