AMC Theaters announced that customers will be able to buy movie tickets and pay for concessions with cryptocurrency in August this year and the company has fulfilled the promise.

The company disclosed that it has implemented its cryptocurrency payment plan via a tweet from CEO Adam Aron on Friday.

The company will now accept payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin for online purchases.

Aron also disclosed that buyers will be able to buy tickets online with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

Since the CEO’s tweet failed to highlight anything about in-person payment at the theaters, it looks like such payment will be limited to online buyers only.

At the moment, Paypal seems to be the only option that you can use to make cryptocurrency payments on the platform.

Users who want to access the cryptocurrency payment option will have to log in to their PayPal account.

Meanwhile, the next cryptocurrency payment options that will be included for AMC theaters, according to boss Adam Aron are Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.
