The Spanish giant passed the news by releasing an official statement on Tuesday.

They added that Perez will spend the next 10 days in isolation. He will also be expected to test negative to the virus before he can return to office.
73-year-old Perez was re-elected for a second term in 2009. Since then, Madrid had a dominant spell in Europe, winning 5 Champions League trophies.
Perez’s positive test is coming two weeks after Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane contracted the virus.
The football legend was absent from Madrid’s games against Alaves and Levante.
Zidane is expected to be available when Madrid take Huesca on Saturday, A match they would want to win to prevent trailing further in the title race.
