The NFT market has exploded between 2021 and this year, with various artists cashing out on their digital arts at unbelievable prices.

The latest beneficiary of this wild market situation is a 38-year-old Los Angeles native known as Robness.

Robness recently gained recognition in the NFT space when his digital art of a trash can sold for $252,000.

The NFT waste bin image, called “64 gallon toter”, shows a large plastic trashcan with glittering effects.

Speaking to AFP, the artist discussed the origin of his viral art,

“I can’t even remember where the image came from, I think it was a Google image search,” “It was one of three trashcans that were in SuperRare and I sold it to a collector,”

Robness’s piece which was created long ago gained notoriety by becoming a meme and inspiring many other copycat pieces.
