
Snoop Dogg’s New Album Hits Blockchain as Fans Pay N3 Million Per Song

Legendary American rapper Snoop Dogg has become one of the first famous musicians to take his music blockchain-digital. The Hip-Hop star announced that he was making his new album, B.O.D.R. (Bacc on Death Row) available via blockchain.
The 50-year-old star partnered with blockchain gaming platform Gala Games, to offer the NFT LP version of the album which offers three exclusive bonus tracks. The Stash Box of NFTs was released on Gala Music on Wednesday, February 9.
Announcing the release of his album on the blockchain, Snoop Dogg released a statement that says:
“Blockchain tech has the power to change everything again and tip the table in the favor of the artists and the fans, and we’re going to be right at the front of the pack with this Gala Music deal”.
The Snoop Stash Boxes are limited edition with only 25,000 copies available for $5,000 each. Each Stash Box includes one of the 17 track NFTs from the B.O.D.R album, and there are only 1,470 NFT versions of each song.
The sale of the Stash Boxes ends on Sunday, February 13 and the non-NFT album launches on Friday, Feb 11.

Along with the announcement of his NFT album, Snoop has also disclosed that he has acquired the first record label he was signed to, Death Row Records.
The rapper couldn’t hold back his excitement as he stated that it was an “extremely meaningful moment” for him. He also added that he is looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.
