NFT Sales Spike by 17% as Bored Ape and Meebits Lead

After the rise in the value of cryptocurrencies this week, when the Federal Reserve’s rate was hiked on Wednesday, NFTs have followed with an improvement in sales volume.

Latest statistics from cryptoslam.io show that aggregate NFT sales volume spiked by 17.86% after weeks of sliding sales. The metrics show that the total NFT sales volume during the last week was $457.67 million.

As expected, Ethereum blockchain led the sales volume with $398 million of the aggregate sold in the week. NFT sales on the blockchain have increased by 21.61% as 158,169 transactions were completed by 64,347 buyers.

Among the top ten blockchains by NFT sales volume, sales of Avalanche-based NFT saw the most increase, with more than 41% rise.

Bored Ape Yacht Club remains the leading NFT as sales jumped by 301.26% this week, commanding more than $74.5 million of the total sales on the Ethereum blockchain. Sister project, Mutant Ape Yacht Club also enjoyed a surge with a 321.80% increase in sales volume.

Meebits is the third-largest collection as the NFT compilation surged by 708% in sales volume this week. Four of this week’s most expensive NFTs were from this collection with the Meebit #19564, going for $833,000 worth of Wrapped Ethereum.
