The three-time African Champions were held to a 4-4 draw by Sierra Leone after the visitors came from being 4 goals down to draw 4-4 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Friday.
The Eagles went into a four-goal lead before the half-hour mark with a brace from the Everton wide man Alex Iwobi and the other two goals came from beautiful strikes from Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze.

After Alex’s goal, Nigeria doubled their advantage through Osimhen who poked in Zaidu Sanusi’s delightful low cross in the 22nd minute.
Iwobi got his second goal of the game and the third for Nigeria in the 27th minute, curling in a shot from 30 yards after strings of crisp passes between Musa and Osimhen, Chukwueze rounded up the 4 goal lead for Nigeria with a nice finish in the 29th minute.
Kwame Quee reduced the Super Eagles lead for the Leone Stars in the 41st.
The strike means the Super Eagles have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five games.
In the second half, the Eagles failed to replicate their dominance conceding three goals in the last 20 minutes of the game with substitute Al-hadji Kamara came on to score the 2nd goal in 72nd minutes and 4th goal of the match with 4 minutes to go while Mustapha Bundu scored the 3rd goal for the Sierra Leone side in the 80th minute.
Regardless of the final scoreline, the Super Eagles are still the leader of Group L after acquiring 7 points from 3 games while the Leone Stars now have 2 points from three games.
