Nollywood actor Victor Olaotan died on Thursday after a prolonged illness, his wife has confirmed.
The 69-year-old actor who is popular for his role as Fred Ade-Williams in Tinsel has been bedridden since 2016.
The actor was on his way to a movie set 5 years ago when he was involved in a terrible accident in Festac Lagos.
Before his death, the actor spent 3 years battling for his life in a Turkish hospital before being flown to Nigeria.
While speaking to Premium Times, his wife Julia Olaotan claimed that she is grateful that the actor can finally find rest after suffering for years.
“He has tried. It is not easy to be trapped in your own body for five years. He can finally rest now, ”.
Victor Olaotan featured in movies like “Love struck” as well as “Three Wise Men”, alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo and Zack Orji.
The actors death comes just a month after another Nollywood veteran Rachel Oniga passed away.
