The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has annoyed that it is concluding a tariff review process for electricity companies in the country.
According to NERC, this review is carried out every 6 months and can cause the cost of the electricity tariff to go up.
The review will take changes in inflation, fuel price, foreign exchange, and the generation capacity into consideration to determine if electricity bills should rise.
The extraordinary Tariff Review process for July is set to begin and a negative outcome could make things more difficult for the masses.

The information was passed by NERC, the regulator of Nigeria’s power sector on Monday.
The electricity commission also urged the public and stakeholders to send in comments about the review to the NERC office in Abuja within 3 weeks.
