-NDLEA has seized a consignment of cocaine and heroin at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos

-The total value of the illegal transport is said to be worth over 30 billion Naira

-The suspect is a hairstylist who agreed to transport the drug for 2 million naira

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has confiscated a cocaine transport that is worth over 30 billion dollars at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.

One of the seizures weighed at over 26kg is the largest single confiscation in the last 15 years.

A top official of the anti-drug agency revealed that a female hairstylist, Jennifer who was arriving from Sao Paulo was intercepted with the drugs.

As part of the standard procedure for travelers from high-risk countries, she was profiled.

The lady was taken to the NDLEA office at the airport where agents searched her bags and discovered the substance.

The whitish powder was concealed in 16 pieces of duvet in her two travel bags.

Although Jennifer refused to disclose the names of her associates, she revealed that they promised to pay her 2 million naira for delivering it.

The drugs were valued and are said to hold over 21 billion naira in street value.

This is not the first cocaine seizure this year. The official revealed that a shipment was intercepted from Sao Paulo on 25th January.

The shipment was weighed to be 8.4Kg and hold over 7 billion naira in street value.
