NAFDAC Destroys Fake Vaccine And Goods Worth 2 Billion Naira
-The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed fake goods worth 2 billion Naira.
-The goods destroyed included expired drugs and vaccines, food items, and cosmetics
-The counterfeit goods were found in the three geo-political zones of the country
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has announced the destruction of counterfeit food, drugs, and cosmetics worth over 2 billion Naira.
The Resident Media Consultant of the organization, Sayo Akintola stated that the destruction took place at Kano, Awka, and Anambra states.
Operatives of the agency in charge of monitoring the authenticity of products combed the three geo-political zones and discovered these goods.
About 1.4 billion worth of goods were seized from the South East and South-South. N613m worth of items were seized from other areas.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye has promised to sweep the entire country to ensure that there is no hiding place for sellers of fake goods.

Adeyeye said that the destruction exercise will help rid the country of fake products and increase peoples’ confidence.
The Director-General also advised Nigerians to be vigilant and expose people planning to divert COVID vaccines for personal gains or sale.
