-The military personnel are said to be searching for members of the eastern security network
Military fighter jets are reported to have been deployed to communities in Orlu, Imo State by the Nigerian army.
Report from news outlet Sahara reporters revealed that the airstrikes started at noon on Thursday as the military tries to dislodge members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
ESN operatives had a clash with soldiers of the Nigerian army in January that resulted in the death of 4 soldiers.
A video of the airstrike surfaced online which has resulted in heightened tensions and anxiety in the communities.
Nigeria Soldiers currently airing bombardments in Orlu Imo State, which killed many innocent people.
There are reports that market places were affected.

Nigerians on social media have condemned the actions of the military, calling it an act of war.
They have advised the military to go to the north in search of bandits and terrorists as those are more dangerous zones.

Saharareporters also released a report in December last year that claimed that the military had deployed combat helicopters to forest where they suspected that ESN operatives were camped.
The Nigerian military is yet to comment on the situation or deny it.
