-Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle has revealed that he is ready to resign

-The governor claims that he will leave the state’s top position if it will stop insecurity

-The governor also expressed his displease at the federal government’s declaration of “No-Fly Zone”

The governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle has revealed that he is ready to step down if that will bring an end to insecurity in the state.

The governor made this statement while speaking in an interview with Channels TV on March 3.

The Zamfara state governor claims that he is not power-hungry and he will step down if that is what it takes for people to sleep with two eyes closed.

Bello Matawalle will resign to end insecurity

Governor Matawalle added that he has been unable to sleep since the insecurity increased in Zamfara state.

The governor also doesn’t have any issues with the “No-fly zone” declared by the government in Zamfara. He is however disappointed that he was not carried along while the decision was being made.

Governor Bala also wanted to see the flight ban declared in other states that have security challenges.

A no-fly zone declaration prevents aircraft from flying over an area.
