The federal government has once again issued a stern warning to workers who distribute official documents on social media without authorization.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan has declared that any civil servant caught doing such will be sacked.

HOCSF’s warning can be seen in a circular titled ‘Unauthorised circulation of official documents/information on social media’ was marked HCSF/3065/Vol.1 /94’ that was distributed by The Punch.
This is the second time that such a warning will be issued by the federal government after a circular was released to warn civil servants about this in May 2020.
In the latest circular, Dr Yemi-Esan termed the act “reckless” and “unwholesome”.
It reads;
“The attention of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has been drawn to the incessant unauthorised disclosure of official documents/information on social media platforms.”
