Following Davido’s controversial visit to the Inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu, there were allegations that the singer went to dissociate himself from protests. The visit which took place on Tuesday was to plead the course of protesters that were incarcerated by the police.
Many people were arrested in the course of the #EndSARS protest which led to the dismantling of the unit in the Nigerian police force. After inviting his followers to join him, the American-born artist visited the inspector general of police in Abuja.
They were still at the force headquarters where videos leaked- according to the celebrity. The videos claim that he went to dissociate himself from the protest.
Davido also reiterated his loyalty to the #EndSARS movement and urged people to keep advocating for an end to police brutality. Davido wrote a letter to clarify his visit to the Inspector General of Police.
Angry Nigerians have also ragged comedian AY for not standing with the #EndSARS campaign during the days of protest which is still ongoing in Lagos state.
As predicted, social media users have also expressed outrage at Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for banning protests across the state.
