Olamide Shuts Down Lagos with OLIC 3
Olamide shuts down Lagos with OLIC 3 (Olamide Live In Concert) again as he successfully holds concert. Na this kain people I dey call godfather. As it is glaringly obvious, no other artist has pulled this kind of stunt and come out this successful. In fact, no wonder the artist get mouth. He openly challenged and dared his rap contemporaries in November 2015 in his song ‘oyan Mayweather’ after being the only rapper who had achieved the feat, twice.
Olamide who released his sixth album ‘The Glory’, early mornings of boxing day, followed it up with this super bloody concert yesterday at Eko Hotels.
Lagosians turned out in their numbers, sotay space no even do. Trust Lagos, the traffic yakpa as fans trooped in from both main land and Ireland. Eko hotel on a very good day is the hub of traffic. Imagine over 7,000 people trooping to watch the almighty Olamide. Chai, I wonder what people had to go through.
The event was declared a god damn success before it even began as ticket sold out 24hrs before the event.
The Expo Hall was super packed and they had three different segments. From Regular to Silver tables and Gold tables but that didn’t even matter at all.
The organizers ensured that the set up will be unbeatable as they had a world class stage set and an incredible sound and lighting, impressive security arrangement both within and outside the venue and a super dope logistics coordination.
According to olorisupergal, the entire show which was hosted by comedians AY Makun and Funke Akindele was full of undiluted excitement as the sets opened with amazing performances by Olamide’s brother DJ Enimoney and DJ Consequence who got the expectant crowd on their feet and shouting for more.
Dignitaries in Attendance
Hmmmmm, you no go believe the kind people weh show; the Governor of Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and his wife, the Oba Saheed Elegushi, Senator Dino Melaye and many other dignitaries were in attendance. Olamide no fall hand at all, as he delivered an energetic three-set performance that had his fans on their feet anytime he came on stage. The supporting acts too were adrenaline-charged performances, by Phyno who performed the 2016 song of the year ‘FadaFada’ with Olamide, Davido, Ycee, Oritsefemi, Mayorkun, YBNL’s Adekunle Gold, Viktoh and TemiOvwasa, Lil Kesh, and many others.
There were other stand up performances by Stand-up comedy performances by Ushbebe, Pencil, Seyi Law, and Funny Bone also added spice to what is indisputably the Concert of the Year.
YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji has once again proved that he is the ‘oyan Mayweather’. This being the third most successful show by one man, we can no longer call this a coincidence. Any rapper or artist weh wan yan, make e first go pull this kine stunt 3 times.
