Every year, Spotify releases an annual list of the most popular artistes, albums, and tracks.
For this year, Canadian rapper, Drake, has been named as the most streamed artiste of 2016 by Spotify with 4.7 billion streams and his album tagged ‘Views’ was also named Spotify’s most streamed album of 2016, and his hit ‘One Dance’ which features Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, and Filipino R&B singer, Kyla was named the most streamed track of 2016.

Remember, The 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards that took place on Saturday night at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, hosted by Bonang Matheba was a big night for Nigerian musicians as Wizkid walked away with three major awards namely: Artist of the Year, Best Male and Best Collaboration.

Meanwhile wizkid announced to his fans recently that he would be cancelling his homecoming concert due to health reasons as directed by his doctors.
‘I’ve been on the road for 2 years touring and doing what I love without a break,’ he said. ‘And now its all catching up on me.’
