(Photos) See What’s Wrong With Singer Yemi Alade’s Catchy New Oufit

Nigerian celebrity and amazing singer Yemi Alade has shared a beautiful photo on her Instagram handle. She shared the photo on Monday, August 24th, and some fans think that a lot is wrong with the photo.

While Yemi Alade just wanted to thrill her fans as she used to, she made a joke out of the deadly corona-virus pandemic that has infected over 50,000 people and killed nearly a thousand people in her home country, Nigeria.

The shekere dance queen was also not mindful of the fact that another celebrity Omotola Jelade Ekehinde is currently battling the deadly virus.

What is Wrong With Singer Yemi Alade’s Outfit?

The singer wore a face-shield and a pair of fashionable shoes that seemed like some protection against the corona-virus. While the famous singer Yemi Alade was only trying to be fashionable she may have sent a wrong signal to thousands of her followers on social media many of whom imitate celebrities without having a second thought.

The Nigerian Center for Diseases Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have not recommended the use of face-shields alone without a face-mask for COVID-19 prevention.

Face-shields do not prevent the spread of the virus because the virus can still pass under the shield and get into the respiratory system. The singer had added the tag “Protective drip” to her photo and this can mislead fans into thinking that they are protected when they wear only a face-shield.

It is worthy of mention that Nollywood actress Omotola Jelade Ekehinde was also wearing just face-shields after the lock-down was lifted and it did not protect her from the virus.

Different types of fashionable face mask and protective materials are used in Nigeria. Many of them have not been certified to be effective in protecting their users against the deadly corona-virus.

Such lapses in prevention methods as championed by many celebrities like singer Yemi Alade could be responsible for the rising cases of the corona-virus infection in the country.
