
Gen Z vs Millennials Explained: Two Nigerian Generations Battle On Twitter
-Twitter Nigeria witnessed great fun recently when two generations went up against one another
– The battle started after Zikoko posted a blog post about Gen Z’s opinions on Millenials
-We witnessed famous names like Simi and FK Abudu get involved in the banter
If you are a regular Twitter user, there is a good chance that you caught the battle between Gen Z and Millennials/Gen Y.
If you missed if you’re struggling to understand, I’ll break it down for you.
Millennials/ Gen Y
Generation Y or Millennials come after Generation X and just before Generation Z. Millennials were born between 1981 and 1995.
Gen Z/Zoomers
This generation succeeded the millennials and preceded the Alpha Generation. Zommers were born between 1995 and 2015.
Just for clarity:
Baby Boomers: Born between 1946 and 1964
Gen X: Born between 1965 and 1980
Gen Y or Millenials: Born between 1981 and 1995
Generation Z: Born between 1995 and 2015
Gen Alpha: Born after 2015

The Battle banter started when Zikoko published an article about Generation Z’s opinions on Millennials. Millennials disagreed and decided to set things straight.
