The Anambra division of the Nigerian police have arrested a 21 year old tenant, Onyeamachi Mmaju for committing murder. The tenant stabbed his landlord, Nonso Oyikoba to death in Idemili North LGA of Anambra following an argument.
A statement released by the police states that some operatives were discharged go the crime scene after receiving a report from neighbors.
On getting there, Nonso was found in pool of blood. He failed to make it even after being rushed to the hospital.
After a brief examination of the landlord’s body, it was discovered that he was stabbed from behind. The weapon used for this act was also secured.
Report from community members revealed that the two got into a quarrel where Nonso cautioned Onyeamachi about his act of bringing in numerous women into the apartment. After that a brawl ensued in which the tenant stabbed his landlord.
In accordance with directives from the Commissioner of police, the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
