Popular singer, Wizkid has opened up on his projects, his inspirations, and the stars he looks forward to working with. Indeed the Starboy has proven he is truly International now and he’s already setting his eyes on the big leagues. Wizkid reveals plans to work with Kanye West.
In a chat with Beats 1, the 24/7 music radio station owned and operated by Apple Inc., the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner said he fell in love with music when he was 10.

He said, “My dad used to play a whole lot of local stuff, like the King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Fela. My cousin introduced me to Snoop and Master P. That made me become interested in music. I started buying tapes. I started going to studios,” he said, noting his influences.
Speaking further, he said he is the first artiste in his family; and on how he started with making his own music, Wizkid said he met with every producer he could find, just to get beats.
“I was rapping and singing at first. I was called Lil Prince. I put out some stuff but thank God we didn’t have internet,” he said, laughing at the memory of his first giddy first, and when asked if he would ever release his first attempts, he said he wouldn’t. “I might lose some fans,” the multi-award winning star stated.

The singer moved on to other things. Speaking about his latest EP Sounds From The Other Side, SFTOS, the singer revealed that he had wanted to give the entire album away for free to fans, until his friend changed his mind.
“I have two albums ready to go already,” he hinted.
Though his latest EP features top acts like TY Dolla $ign, Future, Wizkid is gunning for more big shots, and they include top names like Kanye West, Damian Marley and the legend Pharrell Williams.
