Fresh revelations have emerged on why popular Nigerian singer and performer, Dammy Krane, was kicked out of 2face’s Hypertek Records. This past week has been probably the first time pop singer, Dammy Krane, trended on social media networks especially Twitter and Google. The singer, born Johnson- Hunga Oyindamola Emmanuel but popularly known by his stage name, was arrested in the US for grand theft, credit card fraud and Identity fraud but was released on bail. Following his release, he posted a video on Youtube to address the whole theft scandal during which he apologized to his family, fans and friends over his recent arrest and detention.

In the video clip, the singer denies that he was involved in fraud. He blames the mix-up on the agent that used fraudulent credit cards to book his flight.
The new development with his relationship with music legend, 2face’s record label has it that the troubled singer was expulsion from Hypertek Records.

According to a source who disclosed this to the Punch, the singer was kicked out of the record label which brought him to limelight about two years ago and ever since then, he had been searching for sponsors to help with his career. The singer, the source added, travelled to the US to find ways he could enhance his career which unfortunately landed him in jail. His exit from the record label was silent because it was felt that it was not good for both the image of the singer and the record label.
The source said, “Dammy Krane had left Tuface’s Hypertek record since February 2015. Tuface is trying to build a reputable company and they do not want any negative news. That is why they did not announce his exit from the label. They had issues with him over the way he was doing collaborations with other artistes. It was not part of the contract that he signed, so technically it is a breach of contract. However, they gave him several warnings which he did not adhere to, so they had no choice but to terminate the contract that they had with him.

They did not make any noise about it because they did not want anything that would dent his image and that of the company. He was in the US to get new investor to help his career and also shoot some videos because he already had new material. He was also meant to use the opportunity to embark on his US tour,” the source revealed.
Neither 2face nor Dammy has responded to this new development anyway.
