
Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin has revealed his battles with suicidal thoughts and depression. This may not be unconnected to the troubled waters that hit his marriage with popular TV series actress Lilian Esoro. Franklin revealed this via his Instagram page, noting that his troubles started in 2016 when he was left alone in a ‘dark house’ all by himself. His family and friends were constantly worried about him and his temper had become erratic. Ubi Franklin reveals battles with depression.
Here’s what he wrote in a very lengthy post: “I was quite depressed badly and it became so bad that my life began to deteriorate so much that I literally don’t eat and don’t sleep, so much that my family and close friends became really scared.”

He said one Saturday night, he thought he would end his own life because depression had really eaten deep into his mind, and he was all alone.
“I was driving home filled up with suicidal thoughts. I was so scared and all I kept saying and asking myself was ‘who will take care of my son’?”
Recall that the celebrity marriage split last year after speculations ran high penultimate about their relationship. Their breakup reportedly started late last year when the music boss celebrated their first wedding anniversary but the actress refused to acknowledge the day. Esoro was often spotted without her wedding ring. Much later, she unfollowed Franklin on Instagram and also drop his name ‘Ubi’ from her social media handles. Also in April, the music boss deleted all memories of his estranged wife from his social media, leaving only photos of their son.

Now he admonishes fans not to let the ‘devil’ steal their joy as he believes he is a much better person now.

Also recall that according to reports, a filmmaker and closed friend to Esoro, who pleaded anonymity, told Vanguard last year that the actress had always complained about how distanced her husband was.
The anonymous friend said, “He never showed up in any of her filming location and this was often a thing of worry for Lillian. Other reports stated infidelity and physical abuse as other reasons their wedding packed up immediately their son Jayden was born.”

Meanwhile, news emerged on the street at a time, saying Lilian wanted to marry another Nollywood actor who is now married, but opted for Ubi who was a backup plan from the start. And their marriage was said to be loveless from the beginning. However, entertainment commentators said Ms. Esoro said no when Franklin initially proposed but he did all he could to convince her including her family as he was overly generous to them.
