Omawumi, marriage, social media. Renowned Nigerian singer, Omawumi has revealed why she does not flaunt her marriage on the social media, although, she said she would love to.
The singer-songwriter and actress of Itsekiri ethnicity in Delta State, also gave her thoughts about the notion that celebrity marriages don’t last.
The Globacom, Konga.com, and Malta Guinness brand ambassador said this recently in an interview.
She said, “I don’t think it is fair to stereotype. Marriage na marriage, everybody dey inside. So the issues celebrities face are same issues other people face. It happens everywhere.
“The only reason you don’t hear about it is because those people are not popular but their marriage still dey scatter.
“I try not to flaunt my marriage on the social media but it very hard. My husband is very fine and he is such a good man. Dem nor dey know finish ooo. Of course we have our fights but so far I think we were predestined.
“It’s not like Indian film though, we have our fights but it’s just right with two kids, no wahala.

“I wish I could tell people his jokes, I wish I could show people the things that we do because it’s funny and I will like to share it but the only thing that will do is to bring wahala that I don’t need.
“One human being might just see him and say ‘hello, going my way’…you know, I cannot judge case.
“So I wish I could but I don’t want to and besides, he does not like it.”
