Recall that the NBC had placed a ban to the airplay on Olamide’s new club banger, ‘Wo’.

The corporation on Tuesday, hinted that it has banned the 5 songs – Olamide‘s “Wo” and “Wavy Level“; Davido‘s “Fall” and “If (Remix)“; and 9ice’s “Living Things,” from being aired across the Nigerian airwaves.

The ban came after Federal Ministry of Health led by honourable Minister, Isaac Adewole said Olamide’s new street anthem ‘WO’ is in violation of Tobacco Control Act 2015.

NAIJA.FM had reported that the Federal Ministry of Health warned Nigerians against Olamide’s new song ‘Wo!’ According to the Ministry, Olamide’s latest song, which is the latest Nigerian hit song, shot in Bariga, is a danger to the public.
The ministry revealed on its Twitter account that ‘Wo’ which featured a line were Olamide mentions cigarettes contravenes Nigeria’s laws on Tobacco advertising, promotion & sponsorship.
According to them, the video promotes a dangerous habit that encourages second-hand smoking. The risks from this include cancers, respiratory & cardiovascular diseases.
