Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has been declared wanted by the Police in Lagos State in connection with the robbery attack on fellow singer, Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel in the state. Police declare Burna Boy wanted.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP, Edgal Imohimi declared Burna Boy wanted and publicly called on him to report to the Police immediately for questioning.

This was stated at a press briefing on Tuesday. According to the Police commissioner, ‘4 armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends who is identified as ‘Matejero’ which led to the capture of the others.

During interrogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock who was arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State’.
The CP went on to say that ‘they confessed to receiving a part payment of 50,000 naira before the job and another 50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done.
“At the moment, efforts to apprehend Burna Boy is proving futile but we count on him to make himself available for questioning immediately,” the CP stated.
Recall that Mr 2Kay was recently robbed at gunpoint in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State. The singer’s manager, Grafton revealed that the sad incident happened at about 11pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017, during the Buckwyld and Breathless concert where he also performed.
According to him, the robbers, numbering four, gained access into Mr 2Kay’s room after he mistook one of them for the hotel attendants. They were said to have forced their way into his room and waved a gun with threats to shoot him if he made a noise. The singer was in the room with a friend. When the robbers gained access into his room, he reportedly struggled with one of the robbers, as the others punched and hit him with a gun, repeatedly warning that they will shoot if he doesn’t calm down.
