I’m ashamed to be a Nigerian – Peter Okoye reacts to ban of music videos outside 9ja

Just like his twin, Peter Okoye of the popular Psquare fame, has reacted to Minister Of Information, Lai Mohammed’s recent declaration about banning music videos outside Nigeria. Recall that the Federal Government, at the weekend, decried the situation whereby films, reality TV shows and music videos are shot outside Nigeria for consumption by Nigerians. Peter Okoye reacts to ban of music videos outside 9ja.

The Minister opened up on steps to get the Nigeria Broadcasting Code, NBC to discourage the production of Nigerian movies and music outside the country. Read it up in full HERE.

In his reaction, Peter Okoye took to his social media page to slam the Federal Government. Peter said Nigerian artistes have been the ones covering the “shame” politicians “bring upon the country”. He also lamented about being called a Nigerian as he threatened to change nationality. Peter made this known in a series of tweets. See below…

“And our Government been failing us since 1960 #SMH. Dear FG, for your information! All the Shame way una dey bring for dis our country na we dey entertainers dey cover una Nash! Ndi ala #SMH. Sometimes am ashamed to be called a Nigerian because this people Tufia kwa Another Nationality Loading……  #shame.”
