
Despite warning from the Federal Ministry of Health that Olamide’s latest hit ‘WO’ is dangerous to public health, the song is still making waves. The music video, which was officially released over a week ago, has gained not less than 1 million views on YouTube. Olamide thanks fans for one million views of ‘WO’ on YouTube.
The song, which was produced by Young John and video shot and directed by Unlimited L.A, showcased Bariga to the world and it featured a couple of people dishing out tantalising dance moves.

Olamide thanks fans for one million views of ‘WO’ on YouTube
It’s on this note that the award winning rapper, Olamide Adedeje, better known as ‘Olamide Baddo’ has appreciated his fans worldwide for the one million views of his latest and controversial music video ‘WO’ on YouTube. The Bariga, Somolu born rapper took to his Instagram and Twitter handles @baddosneh and @OlamideYBNL to thank his fans.
He wrote: “My people sorry this is coming late but thanks for all the love and support, thanks for taking it to a mill in a week !!! Oya wo!! #WoChallenge.’’
Recall that the Federal Ministry of Health, however, tweeted recently that the song was dangerous to public health, especially the youths and violates the Nigerian Tobacco Control Act 2015.
The ministry revealed on its Twitter account that ‘Wo’ which featured a line were Olamide mentions cigarettes contravenes Nigeria’s laws on Tobacco advertising, promotion & sponsorship. According to them, the video promotes a dangerous habit that encourages second-hand smoking. The risks from this include cancers, respiratory & cardiovascular diseases.

But in a swift reaction, the 28-year old rapper said he loved Nigerians and had no intention of promoting tobacco in the country.
