Despite what some Nigerians think of former Big Brother Naija housemate, Efe’s music career, YBNL boss, Olamide says he is willing to work with the rapper whenever he is ready. Olamide advised that people should desist from judging a book by its cover. Olamide shares his thoughts on BBNaija Efe’s music career.
This is coming after Efe released ‘Based On Logistics’ song and he received several backlash from fans. Also, mixed reactions trailed the BBNaija winner’s performance at the AY Live comedy show on Easter Sunday. The show was attended by other ex-housemates and just before they were called on stage, Efe performed one of his songs Halleluyah and his performance was received with mixed reactions from Nigerians.
Many felt that the aspiring rapper really needs to find a new talent. They believed his raps would have been appropriate in the 90 like the likes of Junior and Pretty Bolanle song. While some believed that with proper voice training, Efe will make a good singer / rapper. Efe however responded to his critics via his Twitter handle. The Delta State indigene told haters “The problem be say na music I go dey go. Sorry if e dey pain you. If I drop song, just close ear because more songs go comot…ask @DuktorSett. Dey don’t know what’s coming. @DuktorSett, watin we don dey do before now…to avoid frustration accept this new wave so that when the money finish you go come tweet Efe is lazy or am reckless….weh done ma…..ma mama never soft reach.”
Olamide shares his thoughts on BBNaija Efe’s music career
But against all odds, Olamide, during his visit to Soundcity, spoke on why he relates with Efe. He also talked about people who belittle the TV reality show star because they feel he is not talented. Speaking to Moet Abebe of Soundcity radio, Olamide talked about his willingness to work with Efe whenever he is ready.
He said, “Whenever he is ready, a lot of people tend to look down on others who they think is not talented enough, you don’t judge a book by its cover in most cases’. I see hunger, zeal, passionate person anytime I see Efe and someone who is going to be very diligent with his work. The guy may not be all that fantastic or spectacular but I can see it in him over time he is going to develop himself as he grows in the industry.”

The king of rap went further to quote the Bible verse which says that a diligent man will stand before kings.
Olamide obviously wishes Efe well. Recall that while the 24-year-old was in the Big Brother Naija house, Olamide had promised he would support Efe in his music career the moment he was out of the house.
