The alleged husband snatcher of nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has dragged the actress and popular blogger, Linda Ikeji to court for defamation of character. The lady, Opemititi Ajayi popularly known as Queen Stunner, who happens to be Aigbe’s former best friend was alleged to have been the mastermind behind the actress’ failed marriage. Linda had exclusively reported that Queen Stunner allegedly slept with the actress’ hotelier husband, Lanre Gentry and destroyed the actress’s marriage. Also, in an interview with Broadway TV, Ms. Aigbe was quoted to have claimed that her husband slept with Queen Stunner, a statement which is unsubstantiated and allegedly fabricated. On her part, Linda had exclusively broke the news on her blog that Opemititi was responsible for Aigbe’s failed marriage, thereby dragging her name in the mud without any backing evidence; an act of crime as codified in the cybercrime laws of Nigeria.

However, in what could be best described as a drastic action against the defamation of character of its client Miss Opemititi Ajayi, Afolabi Fashanu & Co has ‘visited’ Ms. Aigbe and Linda over the alleged frivolous and malicious statements altered and published respectively by the duo.
According to the letter prepared by her attorneys, the 500Million is to ‘repair’ the damages caused by the defamatory publications and statement. However, the complaint (Opemititi) lawyers have demanded a retraction and public apologies from both Aigbe and Linda in the media including their social platforms. Her lawyer also demanded a total sum of 500 million naira each from the duo as damages within 7 days.

Reports say Queen Stunner used to be like a younger sister to Mercy Aigbe, before things went south.
Recall that the seven-year-old marriage between Aigbe and Gentry crashed after photos of Mercy’s battered face went viral on the Internet. She accused her husband of physical assault which has been going on for quite a long time and which affected her sight and caused her to bleed internally from the physical abuse allegedly melted down to her on Sunday, April 16, 2017. She also alleged that her husband had sex with her PA and most other ladies close to her.
