When it comes controversy, no one does it better than the self acclaimed “Igwe of Igbo land” Kelly Hansome.

But the singer, known for his simplicity but controversial nature, insists that he is not in the league of entertainers and celebrities who bask in the euphoria of extravagant lifestyle, fakeness, media hype and fame.

The US-based Nigerian songster  also discussed the dynamics of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

According to him, people’s insincerity and artificial lifestyle will endear them to you when you are successful, but immediately you begin to experience little setbacks, they would be the first to mudsling you.

In a chat with Vanguard, the multi-talented songster condemned the level of deceit, pretence, betrayal and fake lifestyle.

I believe you know that these have become very prevalent among Nigerian entertainers.

He also responded to rumours he had nothing to offer the music industry again simply because he had gone mum over a couple months.

The ‘Akunatakasi’ beat maker expressed his undying love for his fans and critics despite the negative things they say about him.

Well said ‘Igwe of Igbo land’. Some of our Nigerian artists cannot but lead a fake life. It’s not important to call names though but in the quest of becoming and staying relevant, they take it to a ridiculous height.

Fans would actually respect that you have ‘so much’ but na ‘so much’ we wan chop as fans? We need more of why (music) we are your fans.
