Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has warned his fans not to take him as a role model, as he is just 25. He said he takes life one day at a time and tries to make the best of things. Age they say is but a number. Some persons look older than their age while some others look younger but take it to the bank, most Nigerians feel he is lying to say he is 25. I am not your role model, I am just 25 years old – Burna Boy tells fans.
Well, we are not his parents or siblings to confirm this but on his Wikipedia profile, Burna Boy was born on 2 July 1991 to Mr. and Mrs. Ogulu. He grew up in Ahoada, Rivers State, and later relocated to Lagos State. He attended Montessori International School, and later attended Corona, Agbara for his secondary school in Lagos. In a 2013 interview with the net, Burna Boy said that he was looking at launching his own company at the start of 2014.
On 31 May 2012, Burna Boy released a single titled “Like To Party” which saw his rise to prominence and on 5 September 2012, the video for “Like to Party” was released. The music video, which was shot by Squareball Media services, ran for 4 minutes and 9 seconds…all these and more have been achieved by a 25-year-old dude, yeah right.

On his Instagram page, he emphasized his age, asking fans not to see him as a role model as ‘he never reach.’ Here’s what he wrote:
“I Am NOT your Role Model, I am just a 25 year old who has been through more than any 25 year old should have to, therefore takes life 1 day at a time and tries to make the best of things. This is my REAL LIFE, don’t let your life be determined by how anyone lives theirs. You are Special and Amazing. You would not have been put on this earth if there wasn’t a Reason. I love you all. Love yourselves and each other. The World is Yours!

Meanwhile, as usual, some fans called him out, saying he is high on weed while others asked him how much he was paid to lie about his age, just like Wizkid aka ‘Starboy.’ Lol.
