
Veteran Nigerian hip hop singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has been on a blasting spree lately. Having called out the likes of Mr Eazi, Davido, Wizkid and others, he has blasted Don Jazzy and former label mate, D’banj, over their split from Mo’hits. Eedris Abdulkareem says.
Recall that the business partners (Don Jazzy and D’banj) had long separated over issues best known to them that was or were not made public. Dbanj broke out to form his own label and rumour had it that their issues or misunderstandings have remained unsettled.

But Don Jazzy had always said there are no issues as made believe by the media. For years, the pair would release numerous number one records on ‘Mo’ Hits Records’, solidifying their global status as hit makers in the international music scene.
The dynamic duo’s loyalty was tested with the fast growing success, pressures of money, fame, when a once in a lifetime opportunity came knocking and the group caught the attention of International star, Kanye West and Rocafella records who made them an offer they couldn’t refuse, to join the infamous and highly successful American record label.
It was a dream come true for D’banj, but, Don Jazzy believed that they should have taken a more cautious approach.
But in a chat with GoldmyneTV, the ‘Jaga Jaga’ crooner opened up an old wound, saying, “I love him, I love him, you know why I love him, he has a drive. The biggest mistake someone like D’banj made was to leave Don jazzy, D’banj nor get talent oo, na razzmasta he get, if you go America, them go tell you wetin razzmasta mean.
“But Don jazzy has the technical back up to make D’banj sound good, I love him for that.”
