Reports making the rounds have it that popular singer, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, is expecting his first child with his ‘wife’, Lineo Didi Kilgrow. According to the reports on LIB, the ‘Kokomaster’ who reportedly tied the nuptial nuts secretly in 2016, is currently in the United States, where his 27-year-old wife, Kilgrow is due to put to birth. Indeed, the ‘Oliver Twist’ crooner singer has been super secretive about his marital affairs and seems determined to keep it that way. In 2016, news made the rounds that D’banj got married to his then University of Abuja undergraduate in a secret wedding attended by family members and just few friends in Abuja and Lagos. He had debunked the reports, saying his marriage will be a quiet one and nobody would be aware of it. According to him, his status as a married man ‘when it happens’, would not make him put an end to his music career.

Throwback to what he told the Punch in a chat: “I would tell you the truth, I am not married but if I am, nobody would hear about it. Besides, who says I am not married? It is going to be a very quiet wedding because I am tired of people asking me that question. Besides, it is my personal life and it is not going to change my music or brand. I am not going to get married just because people want me to, neither would I do it just to enter another phase of my life just like some of my colleagues have done. They make it seem as if once you are married you have retired. But that should not be the case.

“Marriage would not change anything about me and whenever it happens, nobody would hear about it, there would only be speculations. My wife would not be seeking for fame because the one I have is already enough for all my family members. When I get married, it would be a very quiet one. Who knows, it might have already happened.”
Before D’banj granted the interview, he had said he was under pressure to get married. According to the 37-year-old singer-songwriter, his mother only cared about his getting married and not exactly his success.
“My mother is putting so much pressure on me to get married. She’s told me, listen! ‘I don’t care about your success. Maybe it’s this success that’s making you not get married,” he told South African radio host in another chat.
There is no smoke without fire, well, if it’s true, a very big congrats to them.
