Davido reacts to Wizkid calling him names
HKN Gang boss, Davido, seems to be unrelenting in his verbal war with popular singer, Wizkid. At the weekend, the duo engaged in a messy fight on Twitter in a rather supremacy battle. Davido and Wizkid, who were in May listed on Forbes Africa ten richest musicians, were locked up in a fight after Davido shared a post on Snapchat on Saturday, 17 June, 2017, after the release of Wizkid’s single, ‘Sounds from the other side’. Davido kinda called out Wizkid in his post. Here’s what he wrote: “Na ‘pon pon’ sound dey reign now ooo!!! No dey jonze!! All other sounds nah d least for now LMAO.”

But in his reaction, the ‘Come Closer’ crooner threw deft shots at unnamed persons, and avid fans are saying his latest words are definitely a Davido diss. Here’s what Wizkid tweeted obviously at the ‘IF’ crooner. In a series of tweets via his Twitter handle @wizkidayo, he tweeted: “U can’t hate on someone doing better than u in what u failed at! Learn and appreciate! Free ur mind from hate young kids. And remember kids! Drink more water!! The game is only for the real! Catch up or stay local! Don’t blame anybody for ur failures! Pray and work hard kids!”

While the heat was on, the comments by the duo ignited mixed reactions, conversation and arguments on the social media, with fans making comparisons of songs, awards, scandals, among others.
It is no longer news that Davido failed at breaking into the international market and relocated home in January, while Wizzy continued to dominate international airwaves. But just when we thought Davido might be regretting his decision to shade Wizkid, owing to the Starboy’s clap back, the Sony Music Act, ss unfazed at being called local.
From Wizkid’s tweets, he purportedly told Davido to stay local if he can’t make it on the international scene but in another twist, Davido shared a video from a party in Cannes, France and captioned it:” Local Champion. I love it! Congrats to the beautiful couple. The Groom is Nigerian Right! Wankolo No dey game!”
Lol. Obviously, if ‘local’ is paying, Davido wants to be local.

Meanwhile, Wizzy already unfollowed Davido, besides the friendship between the two has been fragile at best, held together by a thin thread.
