Popular Nigerian music act, Davido, has dedicated the two awards he won at the 2017 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards & Music Festival, AFRIMMA to two of his late friends – Tagbo and DJ Olu – who died days apart last week. Davido dedicates AFRIMMA awards.
The ‘IF’ crooner won the biggest prize of the night, taking home both the ‘Artist of the Year’ award and the ‘Song of the Year Award’ for “IF.”

Soon after, the father of two shared a photo of the awards on his Instagram page and captioned it:
One for Olu, One for Tagbo! Nothing but love, support, and positive energy came from you guys! Thanks for you guys for keeping me motivated. This is ‘OUR’ Award. Thank you Afrimma! Thank you Lord.”
Recall that in a matter of days, the singer has lost two good friends. First, it was his friend, Tagbo. Davido was embroiled in a messy drama over the controversy surrounding Tagbo’s death.

This was after popular actress, Caroline Danjuma called out the singer and accused him of abandoning Tagbo in a General Hospital in Lagos State. She also alleged that Davido ran away with his crew after they partied till Tagbo was drunk and eventually gave up the ghost.

A few days later, Davido lost another friend, DJ Olu, who is billionaire, Dapo Abiodun’s son. DJ Olu was found dead in his car on Saturday along with his friend who was simply identified as Chime.
