Shading 2face again? Blackface calls on FG to arrest, imprison musicians for song theft [VIDEO]

It seems Blackface of the now defunct Plantanshun Boiz is still up and about his song theft allegation against former label mate, 2face Idibia. The song theft saga between the duo has gone on for quite a while and has been making the news rounds. It all started after Blackface accused the ‘African Queen’ crooner of of intellectual theft. Blackface insisted that 2face stole his song ‘Let Somebody Love You’ and 2face demanded apology from Blackface, asking him to stop false statements. Blackface calls on FG to arrest, imprison musicians for song theft.

2face in the letter dated May 5th, asked Blackface to apologise for accusing him of song theft, sabotage, music royalties fraud amongst others.

Blackface calls on FG to arrest, imprison musicians for song theftBut the ‘Erima’ crooner vowed never to apologize, saying: “The evidence is there that they sang my song and somebody else published it. It is my song and somebody else published it. I am not even talking about African woman right now. I am talking about Let Somebody Love you. That song shouldn’t have been released without my permission because it is my song. The manager went to publish my song. I don’t know what kind of pilfering they are doing because they are industry crooks. They are robbing the industry of a whole lot of things. That is what they are doing…”

While the issue lingers, Blackface, in a recent chat with Hiptv, says the government needs to fine musicians for song theft. He said, “It depends on the penalty the government wants to put for song theft. If they have a penalty for song theft like maybe you have to do some years in prison, a lot of people will be in prison right now, trust me, many big artists would be in prison.”

“It’s either they take some songs from here (Nigeria) or some songs from abroad and then they mix it together; that’s really bad for culture, it’s really bad for being upright for what you stand for and as a Nigerian. So, anything the government decides. The court is there, there are penalties to pay, fines to pay and there are things for you to do to. If you did something wrong, you just have to meet it there.”
