Barely 48 hours after YBNL boss, Olamide revealed why Adekunle Gold left his record label, the ‘Orente’ crooner has confirmed his split from the record label. Adekunle Gold confirms split from Olamide.
In his words: “My contract has expired and that’s it. In YBNL you don’t renew contract. Olamide signed us for two years, so that by yourself, you can hustle and make things happen. I don’t have my record label now, so I’m on my own for now, besides I don’t know about record label and I don’t have the vision to have one now.”
The ‘Sade’ crooner left YBNL which he called home for years. Although ‘world people’ said there were issues, Olamide recently revealed why the singer left his record label. Olamide was the guest artiste in a recent interview with Soundcity’s Moet Abebe where he confirmed that Gold, who was formerly signed to his label has left but still remains family.

These were Olamide’s words: “Same news that was around when Lil Kesh left my record? Yeah, it;s just the contract that expired and it is not the end of the world. We are still family for life. YBNL is no longer managing Adekunle Gold’s career but he is still with me and not under me.

“The reason I give artistes a 2-year ultimatum when signing them is because I get to study the brand and there are some I know will blow in no time. I take my time to study each and every one around me, their sounds and the market as well. I know what it’s worth and it’s been working, Glory be to God.”
So now it is crystal clear these dudes are good. Rumour mongers, please they are not fighting and it does not seem like they would. Lol.
