Everyone wants a bit of the metaverse and the latest organization to announce plans for the virtual world is Shiba Inu. The team behind last year’s viral meme coin, SHIB has announced the launch of the SHIB metaverse.
The launch of the much-awaited metaverse was announced on Wednesday, claiming that the immersive experience of the virtual reality project will position the ShibArmy to grow.
The Shib metaverse will be made up of 100,595 plots of land but the company has disclosed that some part of the virtual land will remain private. 15 land plots have been saved for people involved in the current and future development of the project.
Also, 36,431 plots will be unlocked during the introductory face and the team will also be revealing 4 Districts in the SHIB metaverse named: Growth District, Defense District, Technology District, and Currencies District.
In the metaverse race, the meme-coin team will be facing stiff competition from virtual lands built by Decentraland, the Sandbox, and others.

Surprisingly, Ethereum has been chosen as the token for unlocking different tiers of the metaverse and the price has been fixed between 0.2 and 1 ETH.
The value of the SHIB token has however barely moved since the announcement. In the last 24 hours, SHIB is up 1.8%, trading at $0.00002779.
