Binance.US Joins Metaverse With Virtual Office

• Binance.US is building an office in Portals, a metaverse platform developed on the Solana blockchain

• The space will allow the crypto exchange to focus on delivering the latest news and events virtually

• The company has also indicated that it will be a place for exchange users to gather and interact

As many companies warm up to the idea of the metaverse, the US arm of cryptocurrency exchange is the latest to join the adoption.

Reports have stated that Binance.US is set to get a virtual space in Portals, a metaverse project built on the Solana network.

According to CoinDesk, Portals head of community and partnerships, Chris Lund disclosed that the company wants to dedicate this space to delivering the latest news, charts, and events virtually.

Lund also revealed that another crypto exchange FXT.US will also build its virtual office in Portals.

Portals is an NFT collection that offers 5000 access key cards. The platform allows owners to own and access ready-made and customizable space in the metaverse.

Unlike competitors Decentraland and The Sandbox, Portals also offers a dense urban environment where users can explore the building and hold interactive sessions.

A spokesperson for Binance.US, Zachary Tindall has also disclosed that the space will be a place for users of the exchange to gather and interact.

“We are creating a space in the metaverse for the Binance.US community to come together. It’s the first of many steps we’re taking to be forward-looking as we build and reach our community in new environments.”

Companies have been embracing the idea of the metaverse, acquiring land and offices on the virtual space.

The virtual offices and lands function just like traditional offices and lands but they exist solely on the blockchain.
